TIER 1: Foundation Skills

The foundation skills learned in this tier will allow educators to better understand and apply the teaching and learning objectives taught throughout the professional development program.

Key Educator Outcomes

  • Access digital content for instructional use.
  • Understand features and functionalities of the available digital tools to support student use.
  • Prepare and implement classroom instruction for fundamental technology use.

TIER 2: Improved Student Outcomes

Research-Based Instructional Practices

The new curriculum will use digital content to enhance the teaching and learning experience. Educators will learn research-based pedagogical approaches in technology integration to enhance learning outcomes.

Key Educator Outcomes

  •  Design lessons using digital content that supports instructional goals.
  • Prepare authentic learning tasks using digital tools to maximize active learning.
  • Acquire research-based instructional strategies to build the critical skills and knowledge that can be applied across all subjects.
  • Learn the scope and sequence of the Primary and Secondary curricula as they pertain to individual grade levels and subject areas.
  • Gain research-based teaching practices and understand the progressive skill development as outlined by the curriculum.

Upon completion of our professional development training, there will be an overall increased educator effectiveness, which will, in turn, improve student outcomes. Teachers will be able to identify key learning outcomes for students and will encounter various strategies and activities to further support them in their role as a successful teacher.
